The genesis of International Harvest Church (IHC) traces back to Kenya, East Africa, where our founder and visionary, Reverend Philip Mwonga was born and raised.

Following hearing from the Lord in the wee hours of the morning, around 4 a.m. in 1985, Rev. Philip led a life in pursuit of this call, being groomed by the Lord through men and women that God strategically placed around him.

 

Years later, Rev. Philip immigrated to the U.S. to pursue Biblical Studies. Shortly after, Pastor Rebecca joined him in the U.S. where they were married. After completing Bible College and serving as an Associate Pastor in a local church in Tulsa, Oklahoma for 4 years, the Lord spoke to him to relocate to Texas to plant International Harvest Church - launched in October of 1999.

 

Rev. Philip's journey has taken him across the globe, from the vibrant streets of Costa Rica and Guatemala to the rich cultures of India, Kenya, South Africa, and the United Kingdom, sharing the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ. Everywhere he goes, amazing stories of faith and transformation follow. Submitted to their spiritual authority, Reverend Teresia Wairimu of Nairobi's Faith Evangelistic Ministries (FEM International), International Harvest Church has touched many lives in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and beyond.

 

Rev. Philip & Pst. Rebecca Mwonga are blessed with two sons Jesse and David, their daughter-in-law Lauren, their grand daughter Nahla, and grandson Henry. They have all dedicated their lives in serving the people of God and making disciples who will continue the vision to reach, equip and impact people's lives across the globe.
